The retirement of Canvas.ac.nz

On Wednesday, 12th July 2023, we bid farewell to the Canvas.ac.nz site, which has served as the central hub for resources related to the learning management system (LMS) since its commencement in 2015.

The Canvas.ac.nz site has played a crucial role in supporting teachers and faculty in navigating the platform, accessing training materials, requesting help, and staying up-to-date with the latest features and updates.

Recognising the need for a more streamlined and accessible experience, the decision was to migrate Canvas-related content to TeachWell early this year. This transition allows for improved organisation, enhanced user experience, and better integration with other university’s learning technology tools.

All Canvas-related support and resources for teachers have been migrated to the TeachWell site and the Canvas Student Guide has found a new home within the Student Learning Essentials site.

A dedicated Learning Technology Updates page has been created to keep our community informed about the latest Canvas updates and other learning technology tools. This centralised location is a one-stop destination for staying up-to-date on new features and enhancements to Canvas.
