Boost your digital teaching skills with FHMS course open to all UoA staff
The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FHMS) has announced an upcoming course opportunity, CLINED 717: Advanced E-Learning in Clinical Education, that may be of interest to university staff involved in health education teaching.
The course is offered to non-FHMS staff in Semester One 2025. FMHS staff will be able to enrol in the Semester Two offering as per usual.

Course description
Students advance and refine their knowledge and skills to develop online and blended teaching materials in health professions education through application and reflective practice. Develop and refine theoretical knowledge, learning design, and assessment knowledge. Gain hands-on experience using a range of learning technologies and platforms for web-publication, learning management system, and digital communication tools to design materials and activities to deliver health professions education. Students will create an e-portfolio of their work to fulfil these requirements.

Enrolment with the approval of the Course Director, Dr John Egan.

This course will suit postgraduate students in with an interest in online or blended learning. University of Auckland staff can enrol in CLINED 717 as a stand-alone Certificate of Proficiency (email the course director to discuss the possibility). Staff could also use a tuition fee waiver with approval of their unit/department/school leadership.
