TeachWell Digital: A relentless year of learning and growth

On 1 February 2023 we launched TeachWell Digital, a ‘portal’ for our teaching staff. It soon became clear that a mere collection of links to resources was not enough. Teachers wanted more original content to help them adapt to the changing learning environment, including the implementation of the Curriculum Transformation Framework, the Signature Pedagogical Practices (SPP), and the emergence of Gen-AI. And we listened. With a growing number of teaching guides and cases that show how SPP and Gen-AI can enhance your teaching and your students’ learning, we hope TeachWell Digital has become your trusted partner in your teaching journey here at the Waipapa Taumata Rau, the University of Auckland.

Did you know?
TeachWell’s roots run deep! At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the quick-thinking team at Ranga Auaha Ako (Learning and Teaching Design Team) whipped up Remote Learning – a website packed with support resources for teachers facing the sudden shift to online classrooms. Built in just 48 hours, the predecessor of TeachWell Digital showed what dedication and passion can achieve. Today that same spirit of fostering excellence in learning and teaching thrives in TeachWell Digital, driving our commitment to supporting both educators and their students.
Your thoughts on our impact
“Kia ora, Kudos on the TeachWell website launch; I think it’s a much-needed resource. […] Thanks for your fantastic work! I’ll continue to explore further.”
“Great resources especially with the CFT implementation about to hit us. Mixed mode is always useful. AI is going to be the next issue so keep adding there. Relational teaching support too will be huge in 2024. [On what to improve] Being able to find things [easily] would certainly help!”
What’s next for TeachWell Digital?
This year, we’ll continue working hard to support you in your teaching at Waipapa Taumata Rau. We’ll be looking at ways to improve your experience and add:
