Intellectual Property Law: From Zoom to interactive online learning

Join Associate Professor Rob Batty as he redefines the Law learning landscape with LAWCOMM 772: Intellectual Property Law and Practice. The postgraduate course has transitioned from Zoom to an interactive online experience on Canvas, offering a comprehensive exploration of intellectual property law through six engaging modules.

About the course

The course redesign emphasises student-centric learning, enriched with tutorials and quizzes. Students will engage in online discussions and pre-learning exercises, fostering active participation and preparedness for weekly live Zoom classes.

Assignments, designed around real-world scenarios like drafting a legal memorandum of advice, match the learning outcomes, providing students with practical experience.

This approach aligns with the University’s TeachWell Framework and signature pedagogical practicestechnology-enhanced learning, assessment for learning, and relational learning, enriching the learning experience by fostering meaningful relationships among students, peers, the subject matter, and the teaching team.
