Storytelling assessments in an AI powered world

An interactive webinar for educators on designing inclusive, authentic assessments in the age of Gen-AI.

How can we ensure assessments remain meaningful and inclusive in the age of generative AI? This webinar, hosted by the HERDSA Assessment Quality SIG, explores storytelling as a pedagogically sound approach for assessment design that maintains student voice, identity, and engagement.

Presenters include Associate Professor Carl Sherwood (University of Queensland, Brisbane, AU), Dr Karen Ho (Mount Royal University, Canada), and Dr Pranit Anand (UNSW, Sydney, AU). They will share examples from STEM disciplines, design principles for storytelling tasks, and alignment with quality frameworks such as the Higher Education Standards Framework.

This event is relevant to academics, curriculum designers, and teaching leaders seeking to uphold integrity and innovation in assessment.
