Class Representation Policy: Discovery workshop to receive feedback

An invitation to help inform the review of the Class Representation Policy and Guidelines.

The University’s Teaching and Learning Quality Committee has established a working group (Class Rep Task and Finish Group) to review the Class Representation Policy and its related Guidelines. This policy outlines the roles and responsibilities of student representatives for courses and for the operation of student-staff consultative committees (SSCCs).

The working group will be hosting a drop-in ‘discovery’ workshop to receive feedback and are keen to hear from academic staff, and especially course directors.

Discovery workshop

Tuesday 27 May 2025, 12–4pm

Please just drop by whenever and spend as long (or little) time as you like.

Room 101, Level 1, Kate Edger Building (opposite Ubiq bookshop)

Add to calendar

Any feedback is welcome, but further interest will be in:

  • Class rep roles and the principles of student representation
  • Processes of electing class reps
  • How class reps provide feedback
  • The role of SSCCs
  • Administration and training of class reps

If you cannot attend the drop-in session, please raise any concerns or suggestions with David Hayward (d.hayward@auckland.ac.nz), who is a member of this Class Rep Task and Finish Group.

This button dynamically creates a calendar file based on the metadata that you provide below. To use this module, type the date and time info into the Divi module below called ‘start date & time metadata’. Use the following format:

Single event with time:

DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM-HH:MM

. For example

  • 07-07-2025 11:00-12:00

Single event all day:

DD-MM-YYYY

. For example

  • 07-07-2025

Multi day event: Same format as above separating each event with a comma. For example:

  • 07-07-2025, 08-07-2025 13:00-14:00, 09-07-2025 11:00-12:00, 15-07-2025

Neither these instructions or the date-time(s) below will display on the front end because their bounding Row is hidden using CSS.

The button will show an ERROR in preview mode. Ignore this.

You may move the button to where you want it to appear on the page.

27-05-2025 12:00-16:00
