Adding to your kete – sharing teaching practices:
- Increasing student engagement using Perusall. Dr Lynne Park incorporated Perusall as a pre-lecture activity and found students came to class more prepared and ready to engage. Lynne expands on this during her presentation at the Learning Design COI.
- Using authentic scenarios to develop workplace writing skills. To prepare students for the workplace, Associate Professor Jennifer Lees-Marshment changed the assessments from academic essays to memos and reports which are more commonly found in the workplace.
- Need to change the course assessments but not sure on what applications are available? Check out Technology enhanced learning page for ideas. Take a look at how Dr Julia Fehrer used Miro to allow students to collaborate in a hybrid setting.
