Technical support is available for some learning technologies on request.
Faculty Access Portal
The Faculty Access Portal is part of the University’s disability case management system, which allows course coordinators and course directors to securely view students’ learning and teaching adjustments. Eilidh Thorburn from Student Disability Services held a drop-in session for staff in June 2024.
FeedbackFruits training
Through October and November 2024, the FeedbackFruits team is offering drop-in sessions for staff to bring along their questions on Peer Review and Group Member Evaluation tools.
FeedbackFruits 24/6 live support
In FeedbackFruits, look for the purple chat icon in the lower-left hand corner. This will connect you with their 24/6 live-support service (Monday – Saturday), where you can send a direct message to their team.

H5P support
From January – June 2024, the team at H5P are holding a series of webinars. Come and learn from the experts; there’s something for everyone.
Self-paced learning is available through Career Tools.
UoA drop-ins are not scheduled at this time but H5P support can be available on request through the Canvas ‘log a ticket’ portal.
Recordings from past events
In 2021, the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences ran several H5P workshops. The recordings are available on the FHMS Teaching and Learning Community website.

Turnitin support
Teachers were required to migrate their Turnitin LTI assignments to the Turnitin Plagiarism Review tool in Canvas before 1 July 2024. To support the transition, Karl McGuirk ran drop-in sessions for staff. One of these sessions was recorded.

Canvas courses: Staff Access Upload Tool
The Staff Access Upload Tool is a feature of the Canvas Management Console enabling Course Access Authorisers to grant staff access to Canvas courses quickly and efficiently. Group Services administrators, Group Services team leaders, and Group Services managers can use the tool to add staff roles in Canvas. These drop-in sessions will provide additional support for those who need it.

Contact the Canvas Hotline for help with: Getting started with Canvas, Canvas interface and features. Log into Canvas for online live chat from the Canvas Help menu.
At the bottom of the right-hand side menu, look for Help, then Chat with Canvas Support (staff).
