Consultation request
Up to 3 hours of learning design support for a fresh perspective on your teaching.
TeachWell Consult offers short, focused support for teaching staff who want to reflect, refine, or explore new approaches in their practice. You’ll meet with an experienced learning designer to discuss your course, clarify your ideas, and propose practical suggestions.
We can help you with:
- Designing or revising assessments (incl. in context with Gen-AI)
- Structuring your course or modules
- Applying relational learning strategies (incl. in large and online classes)
- Writing or reviewing learning outcomes
- Embedding accessibility practices and Canvas Baseline Practices
- Exploring ways to engage students
- Thinking through Canvas setup or course structure
- Answering questions about learning technologies
Think of it as a sounding board for your ideas—not a service desk or content migration job.
What’s included
You’ll have access to up to three hours of one-on-one support, which can be spread across multiple meetings if needed. Our team will act as a critical friend offering constructive feedback, pedagogical insight, and suggesting learning and teaching technologies to help you achieve your goals.
What we don’t do as part of this service
- Migrate course content between platforms
- Edit videos or recordings
- Build custom software or digital tools
If you’re working on a larger project that involves any of these, we’re happy to discuss what’s possible through a formal proposal.
Request a consultation
Just submit a request through TeachWell Consult. We’ll respond within two working days to schedule an initial meeting and understand what support you need.
Outreach
Our faculty co-location team offers quick and spontaneous, in-person or virtual TeachWell Consult sessions either in your faculty space or online.
Is it right for me?
This is best for quick conversations, troubleshooting, or informal idea-sharing. Ask questions, test ideas, or get feedback on your teaching practice. We may record our time spent with you through logging a TeachWell Consult request on your behalf, i.e., let us take care of the formalities.
It’s like office hours, but for your teaching design questions.
When and where?
To find out the co-location hours for your faculty, contact your faculty’s dedicated learning designer.
