Supervision: Supporting candidates through the Provisional Year

This session is about supporting your candidates throughout the first year of enrolment, ensuring they are completing milestones and progressing toward a successful confirmation of candidature review. You will develop an understanding of provisional year procedures, and a plan to help individual candidates achieve their milestones.

You will hear from a guest panel of experienced supervisors and have your questions answered. Key topics include:

• Confirmation milestones, including when and how to set additional milestones
• Confirmation of candidature review, including key responsibilities of supervisors
• Practical advice on supporting a range of candidates, from those who may be excelling, to those who may be struggling
