Supervision: Research data management for supervisors

The School of Graduate Studies facilitates workshops for research supervisors at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

Managing research data encompasses a wide variety of topics including data management planning, file organisation, appropriate storage options, copyright, publishing data, and Māori data sovereignty. Supervisors need a good understanding of these topics so they can support their candidates to meet the requirements of the Research Data Management (RDM) Policy.

Participants will be provided with:

  • An overview of the RDM Policy
  • Direction on best practice, including management of sensitive data
  • Practical advice on the services and support available to supervisors and their students

Upon completion, you will receive an overview, links to key documents and essential resources to support supervisors.
