Supervision: Managing sensitive research data for supervisors

The School of Graduate Studies facilitates workshops for research supervisors at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

Through the lens of international and national frameworks, attendees will learn best practices, considerations and tools for managing sensitive research data. This workshop extends the material covered in ‘‘.

Learning outcomes:

  • Navigate relevant University policies and legal requirements that regulate management of sensitive data.
  • Identify key considerations, including ethics, that apply to sensitive data.
  • Apply frameworks that support planning for responsible and secure management of sensitive data using best practices and systems.
  • Balance the benefits and restrictions around sharing sensitive data and metadata outputs.
