Canvas Design Blocks
This hands-on workshop will demonstrate Design Blocks for Canvas and is tailored towards anyone involved in developing course content at our University.
Facilitated sessions
Join experts from Ranga Auaha Ako, Learning and Teaching Design team who will provide a walkthrough of Design Blocks for Canvas—a tool that enables the easy application of various content layouts and design templates for enriching the visual aesthetic of your course. There will also be an opportunity for a hands-on application of the tool.
During this session, you will learn how to:
- Use grids to structure page layouts clearly
- Build engaging home pages and module entry points
- Present content using image cards and visual overviews
- Create ‘Meet the Team’ pages with staff profiles
- Enhance navigation with buttons, button bars, and glossaries (time permitting)
