Shaping the future of learning with generative AI
ATAIN aims to connect universities, polytechnics, private training establishments, and wānanga to share knowledge and resources which would otherwise remain siloed. The inaugural session on Friday 26 September 2025 launched the Aotearoa Tertiary AI Network Community of Practice.
Going forward:
- Fortnightly sessions are scheduled through end of year, with 2026 planning underway.
- Please join our Discord channel to continue the conversation.

AI Landscape Update in HE
Presenter: Nick McIntosh, Learning Futurist, RMIT
Nick will provide an overview of key developments in AI throughout 2025 for higher education, followed by opportunities for rich discussion. This is a great opportunity to reflect on the year and prepare for what’s next.
