In our technology updates we announce the latest developments in UoA supported tools for teaching and learning.

Canvas

Gradebook – View Hidden Grades Indicator

A new option in Gradebook settings allows instructors to see an icon marking any grades that have not yet been posted to students. This makes it easier to identify hidden grades and reduces confusion around grade visibility.

People – Page View

The Page View section in user details has been updated to streamline access and performance for administrators. Key improvements include:

  • Date filtering for CSV exports, with results limited to the selected month
  • Removal of the 300-line limit for CSV downloads
  • Gradual loading of the most recent 30 days of page views for better performance
  • Notifications when CSV results are ready for download
  • Prevention of duplicate CSV requests with on-screen status indicators

These changes improve usability and provide clearer feedback when working with user activity data.

SpeedGrader: Multi-Select Section Filter

SpeedGrader now allows instructors to filter submissions from multiple sections at once using checkboxes. This makes it easier to manage grading across larger courses or those with multiple groups.

To filter sections, select the desired section checkbox then click the Apply button.
