Reminder: Facilitate an election for class reps
A friendly reminder for course directors.
Course directors are asked to ensure that students are informed about the class representative role and conduct a ‘show-of-hands’ or online election within the first two weeks of the semester or quarter. *
Please also add their contact details to the ‘course contacts’ page in Canvas.
Remember, class reps are your eyes and ears, providing feedback from your class—unclear instructions, difficult concepts, pain points, etc.—so you might make course adjustments accordingly.
* Electing class representatives is a requirement of the Class Representation Policy (§ 10).
