Creative Pedagogies Network
Join the network for the opportunity to connect and explore intersections between creative and teaching practices. Hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Education and open to the wider University.
The Creative Pedagogies Network, funded by the University’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Grant, connects academic staff in the Faculty of Arts and Education to explore creative pedagogy in theory and practice. The network builds relationships across disciplines such as dance, music, creative writing, visual arts, ngā toi Māori, arts of Moana Oceania, drama and screen, and related interdisciplinary fields.
At the inaugural event on 30 April, founding members shared how their creativity has shaped teaching and learning, drawing from fields like music, dance, drama, arts education, and educational philosophy. The session also outlined the network’s goals and invited colleagues from across the University to take part in future events.
To learn more about the network, listen to a bFM interview David Lines, one of its founders.
