In November: Teaching employability skills
Forum date: Thursday, 21 November, 2 – 3.30pm
Join us for our November forum as we spotlight teaching approaches that boost employability skills, enhancing the university’s commitment to prepare students for the professional world. The forum will feature winners from this year’s Change One Thing challenge:
- Interactive Learning in Pharmacy – Elizabeth Oliphant, Dr Sara Hanning, Dr Trudi Aspden (Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences)
- Viva Voce Law Assessment: “Change One Thing” Award Example – Nikki Chamberlain (Auckland Law School)
- Applying Health and Safety Standards in Chemistry – Dr Marie-Anne Thelen (Faculty of Science)
We’re also pleased to welcome Sarah Moyne, who will briefly introduce the university’s Employability Community of Interest, sharing insights into further opportunities for collaboration and resources across disciplines.
We hope you can join us.
Our aim is to empower educators and learners through collaborative exploration and innovation in learning design, assessment strategies, and technology-enhanced education (including Generative AI) and to foster compelling, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences. Through building our learning community, we hope to advance university education through innovation, collaboration, and technology, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity in learning and teaching.
