Conference: ADCET Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Symposium 2025
A hybrid symposium on UDL for educators and professionals in higher and vocational education, themed “Navigating Authentic Assessment and Learning in a Digital World”.
The ADCET Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Symposium 2025, hosted by the University of Sydney and the Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET), aims to share knowledge and expertise in UDL. The event focuses on developing an Australia-wide network of UDL practitioners and researchers, exploring innovative approaches to authentic assessment and learning in digital environments, and examining the intersection of AI and UDL principles to enhance inclusive learning experiences—all of which could be relevant also in New Zealand context.
The symposium is designed for academic and professional staff in the tertiary education sector, including educators in higher education or vocational education and training, learning designers, learning support staff, disability advisors, accessibility advisors, assistive technology officers, inclusive education students, and staff and students with disabilities in education and training.
Dr Seán Bracken, Principal Lecturer at the University of Worcester, will be the keynote speaker, focusing on his work in promoting inclusivity through various leadership roles and research initiatives.
